The traditional approach to simulation-based training, suitable for rapid refresher training and medical capability demonstrations (minimum 8 hours). Suitable for immediate hands-on testing of skills, periodic retraining in rarely used procedures, etc.

This service is for a MedSMART standard configuration to provide a technician, a simulator, and simulator materials for at least 8 hours of use by clinicians who have already been certified by MedSMART on the simulator. This covers the setup and configuration.

These are conducted either at the training facilities of MedSMART or at the client’s location and include:

A) Introduction to the HPS
This 2-hour training session is designed to show clinicians and lay people how to run the HPS. The use, configuration, and maintenance for the HPS are covered as well as the run-through of some of the basic exercises.

B) Intermediate HPS Use
Once Course A) has been completed, the students enrolled in the Intermediate program learn how to develop their own scenarios and remotely control the HPS.

C) Advanced Human Patient Simulators & Medical Simulation (Quarterly)
This course is an advanced one-day course that delves into modern medical simulation from standard computer programs, HPS devices, up to the state-of-the-art technology in medical simulation and telepresence.
